June 4th 2006 |
"Just a few brief details, the Norwich Classic Vehicle Club
are holding their Fifth annual classic vehicle show on Sunday June
4th. This event has always attracted a huge following, over 200
vehicles attending last year. Spaces can be reserved for a Club
stand, there's a fully licensed bar on site, food, car boot sale and
autojumble stalls.
Located at Norwich Rugby Club just off the B1150 North Walsham Road,
north of the city. I'll be taking my 1975 3500 auto along for it's
first time, would be nice if we had a few more P6's there and maybe
make up a club stand.
more details from me on 01379 740760."

Rover Owners Club Of Holland weekend.
"Dear Rover friends, this is an invitation to the 7th lustrum
of the ROCH on 17th and 18th June 2006. This festive meeting
takes place around Vledder, a village in the idyllic area where SW
Drente and NW Overijssel meet, just south of the Frisian border.
Programme:
On Saturday morning we meet in the minuscule hamlet of
Muggenbeet ("Midge's bite..!")
at the inn called Geertien, where coffee and homemade cake awaits us.
A beautiful route through the "Drents - Frisian Wood" will
take us to Vledder for an informal lunch.
With special permission our concours d'élégance takes
place on the historic village green (Brink) ,opposite Hotel
Brinkzicht, which is also the venue for that evening's dinner -
dance. A fine swing - band and a salsa - dancing demonstration will
heighten the spirits.
On Sunday morning, after coffee and pastries, we depart for
Havelte, through a landscape called the "pearl of Drente ".
Our traditional cultural programme features both Peter van Pagee, who
is -in Holland- a well-known storyteller and a 25 - person's choir.
A final tour will take us to Giethoorn, aptly called the "Venice
of the North". Lunch will be served in the restaurant
"Holland's Venetie".The afternoon offers options for a boat
tour, walks along the narrow canals, arrow shooting,"hole in
one", etc.
The lustrum will end around 17.00 hrs.

Sunday 17th September 2006 |
The Rover P6 Club National Rally 2006
will be held at the annual Vintage and Classic Day at Turweston
Airfield on Sunday 17th September 2006.
We have selected this large event as it in a good central location,
hopefully to bring in as many of our expanding membership as we
possibly can. The location is an airfield is situated 2.5 miles east
of Brackley, Northamptonshire, near to Silverstone and can be
accessed from the A43 just north of the first Brackley exit and is
clearly signposted to Turweston Airfield and Whitfield village.
ENTRY FORM HERE
There is easy access from both the M1 & the M40 motorways..
We will be running various competitions and there will be trophies
for the furthest travelled to the event and Members Favourite P6.
There is also a trophy for the best everyday P6 at the
rally. There is also a vehicle parade at 1300hrs, organised by the
VAC. This event draws vintage & classic cars, coaches,
commercials, bikes, military vehicles and if weather permits a
good selection of aircraft so it is well worth a visit. The gates are
open from 0930 hrs and entry is £5.00 per car payable to RP6C in
advance. Please return your completed entry form to the Club Address,
marked for The National Rally and remember to enclose an SAE.
Our National Rally will be part of an gathering of owners and
enthusiasts for all things mechanical and will include vintage and
classic motor cycles, cars, military vehicles, tractors, commercial
vehicles and if the weather permits a good selection of aircraft.
The gates open about 09:30 with a parade of vehicles around 13:00.
Last year was a special event as there was the final public display
of the Vickers Vimy (this was the aircraft that has reinacted the
three main long distance flights London-Australia, London-Cape Town
and in 2005 the Trans Atlantic flight). So hopefully there will be
able to have a good selection of aircraft, cars, motorbikes,
commercial and military vehicles for everyones enjoyment.
To view pictures from past events at this site please check the web
site at www.vintageaircraftclub.org.uk
also where they will be updating information for the event, so if
there are any changes they will be posted on this site.
So please mark the date on your calendar and we hope to see you there.
